astral collectiveUsing underground electronic music culture as a point of departure, ASTRAL translates the environments surrounding house and techno into a visual system — shaped by nightlife spaces, sound infrastructure, club lighting, and collective behavior.
Drawing from scenes across Mexico City, Los Angeles, Madrid, Berlin, among other cities, the project reframes elements such as rhythm, community, repetition, and contemporary music into a graphic identity — including laser-inspired color use, type density, distortion, textures, and minimalism with a touch of brutalist inspiration.
Rather than documenting music itself, it focuses on the conditions that produce it — where sound becomes spatial, and movement becomes a sense of community and being.
It’s a collective that examines what exists between sound, environment, and collective experience.
